Hill's Prescription Diet includes a variety of clinically tested, therapeutic foods for treating a variety of different conditions in dogs and cats. Hill's Prescription Diet Canine u/d Urinary Care Original is a dietetic dry food used to help to dissolve urate crystals and cystine uroliths and to promote the reduction of urate, oxalate and cystine urolith crystals. This food can also be used to help with chronic kidney complaints. It only contains a small amount of quality protein to help to reduce accumulation of toxic protein-breakdown products. The food also has a lower salt content to limit fluid retention associated with kidney problems, and to keep fluid levels in early cardiac disorders under control.

  • Chronic kidney disease - advanced (IRIS stage 4)
  • Hepatic copper storage disease
Not recommended for:
  • Cats
  • Puppies
  • Pregnant or lactating bitches
  • Dogs with struvite urolithiasis
  • Dogs with hypoalbuminaemia, hyperlipidaemia or pancreatitis, or with a history of, or at risk of, pancreatitis.
  • First 1-2 weeks after surgery

Grains, oils and fats, eggs and egg products, vegetable by-products, minerals, meat and animal by-products, seeds. Protein sources: dried whole egg, hydrolysed protein.
Urine alkalising ingredients: potassium citrate.
